Pocket money & savings

Track balances, pay allowance, and help kids save towards goals.

Pocket money keeps track of everyone's balance, pays out allowance, and helps kids save towards something special.

Finding it

Open More → Pocket money. You'll see a card for each family member with their balance, and a family total.

Paying and spending

Tap a member to open their money, then:

  1. Pay / Boost to add money (with an optional note like "Helping with the garden").
  2. Spend to take money off.
  3. Set weekly allowance to pay a set amount automatically on a chosen day each week.

You can turn the weekly allowance off any time — their balance isn't affected.

Where money comes from

Completing a chore with a dollar value pays straight into a balance — see Chores & up-for-grabs. Every payment, allowance and spend shows in Recent activity.

Savings goals

Help a child save towards something like a new bike:

  1. Tap New savings goal, give it a name, a target, an icon and a colour.
  2. Use Contribute to move money from their balance into the goal, or Withdraw to move it back.

A progress bar fills as they save, and the goal celebrates when it's reached. Kids can manage their own goals, and grown-ups can manage everyone's.
