Comfort & access (calm mode, big text, low-demand)
Per-person settings to make Oona gentler and easier to use.
← Help CentreWellbeing
Settings that change just your own view of Oona, so screens feel comfortable for you. They are here for anyone who finds bright, busy or fast screens hard, including neurodivergent family members.
Setting up your view
- Open More → Accessibility.
- Choose an Appearance — light, dark, or follow your device.
- Flip on any settings that help. Changes apply live, so you can tweak until it feels right.
What you can turn on
- Calm mode — softer, slower and less to take in, with gentle shadows and no fidgety motion.
- Reduce motion — turn off animations and movement.
- Larger text — make everything bigger and easier to read.
- Dyslexia-friendly — more spacing between letters, words and lines.
- Low-pressure mode — gentler, invitational wording with no overdue labels, streaks or countdowns. Kind to demand-avoidant brains.
Good to know
- Settings are saved just for you and follow you on every device.
- Everyone in the family, including kids, can set their own.
- There is no wrong answer — adjust them whenever you like.
